Jason Volentine joined the 10/11 News team as a reporter in March 2007. After six months at the station, Jason was named anchor of KOLN/KGIN's weekend morning newscasts, the first of its kind in the Lincoln/Central Nebraska market.
Jason was born in Mullen, Nebraska and grew up in Mullen and North Platte. He came to 10/11 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he majored in Broadcasting, with minors in Political Science and English with an emphasis in history.
During college, Jason was an Intern/Sports Photographer for KETV in Omaha. He also worked with KUTT-Radio doing color commentary for Doane College football games.
Jason's favorite part of his job is meeting new people every day, and the excitement of live television. In his spare time, Jason likes to play basketball, golf, sing, spend time with friends, cheer for the Huskers, and travel.
