Amanda Cox joined 10/11’s news team in August 2007 as the Weekend Morning Meteorologist and Weekday Weather Reporter. Prior to joining KOLN/KGIN, Amanda worked at KMBC-TV, the ABC affiliate in Kansas City. She was the weather producer for KMBC’s chief meteorologist, and produced forecasts for the evening shows.
Amanda was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. In 2004, she graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Science. Weather is Amanda’s passion - while at MU she joined the storm chase team to see severe weather firsthand.
In her spare time, Amanda loves hanging out with her dog Lily, family, and friends. She enjoys traveling, trying new things, listening to music, and doing yoga.
