You protect your family with smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors - shouldn't you alert them in case of a tornado?
A NOAA weather radio will alert you and your family with important severe weather and critical hazard information. It provides continuous broadcasts of the latest weather and emergency information directly from National Weather Service offices across the state.
Because emergency information is broadcast every day, 24 hours a day, your family will be awakened in case severe weather strikes during the night - in time to seek shelter. You can program your NOAA radio to alert you only when your county is affected. Use the links below for more information, and as always - tune to Ch. 10/11 for updated weather information from the Pinpoint Weather Team.
Weather Radios are available at participating Hy-Vee and Alco stores.
